Help please

Hi, thanks for reading this!

I have an Audi A4 2.6 1995 (m). Over the last few weeks the central locking has started to work when it wants to. I can be driving along and the dorrs lock, the boot lock has often kept running for ages! I have also had problems with the battery going flat too. I have guessed its because the locks keep working as the battery is in good order. I have also noticed on the dash it says InI! Any help would be good!

It sounds like the central locking pump is playing up. It seems like a common weakness as it pops up on the forum quite often. is the noise a whirring sound? Sorry to say I'm no expert but you might want to search the other threads that feature this problem, that might give you more info. If the pump turns out to be unfixable a recon unit or a unit from a scrapper might be a good alternative to paying a fortune for a new unit. You just have to check it has the same part number..! In1 indicates that a service/inspection is due. Dealers can turn this off for you (at a cost!!) or if you have access to a laptop with VAGCOM i think you can turn it off with this too.. Yer it does make that wherring sound. Ive been having a read at the other threads and seen that a few people have problems with the locking! I'll have to keep my eye out for a unit I think!
