Location of alarm siren on 2002 Passat sedan

G'day everyone, I have to replace the alarm siren on my 2002 Passat sedan, have been told it lived in the r/hand front wheel arch but it wasn't there. Has anyone replaced one of these beasts before and if so , where is it? Thanks greatly for any help.

i think its mounted beside your battery in pleuim chamber

In vehicles with anti-theft alarm system and no interior monitoring system, the horn for anti-theft alarm system -H8- is fitted over the rear left wheel housing.
In vehicles with anti-theft alarm system and interior monitoring, the alarm horn -H12- is fitted at the front in the plenum chamber
