    Hello,

    Can anybody help with this?
I need to remove the RDC 300 Radio in my Golf Plus to fit some extra bits.

The question really is: what trim part needs to be removed first and where are the clips?

    See pickture.

    Many thanks,

This is not a 5 minute job on a Golf PLUS !!!

The entire trim need to come off, have a look at the how to's on here - I'm sure some poor sod has already suffered this.

From memory you have to take the dash-top trim out and work your way down. And then the vents fall apart and it takes 3 hours to put them back together again. Then you can put it all back together again.

    Hello,

Thanks for the tip, however I have found the solution from a German website.

    See: http://www.keipke.de/wiki/display/HO...RCD300+mit+MP3

I followed this process and it took me about 30 minutes to remove and reinstall the radio.

Hope this can help other people.

    Regards

Further help on my Golf Plus RCD radio removal

I cannot read the German text but managed to remove two screws behind covers for airbag warning and air vent slot.

Now I find that the panel surrounding the radio and the 4 vents is very tight.

Does it just pull off, or are there other screws ?

Please advise before I force and break it.

    Thanks

There are no other screws exept those behind the cardholder that looks like a small vent and the passenger airbag warning panel.

Be carefull when you remove the panel as there are 4 or 6 clips that hold the panel in place. If I remember well, there are 2 clips on each side and 2 at the bottom. Proceed slowly and with care. I did this a few times and it went OK.

    Good luck,
    Roland

Hi - I know that is a old post that you have out there regarding the Golf Plus radio removal - But I was wondering if you can help, I have removed the 2 screws under the hazard lights but I still cannot take of the panel around the car radio. Is there any other screw, were are they. NOTE my dash is the same as what is in your picture, any help would be much appreciated.

    Thanks
