Dont go for any filter which you have to oil, it will destroy your MAF.

I would have to strongly disagree with that statement, I sell K&N panel filters and have never known an AMM fail due to one being used. I have had a K&N panel filter on my VRS for two years and I have no problems with the AMM.

There have been countless reports of this happening and I myself had the MAF fail after fitting a Pipercross oiled filter.

So as much as I respect your opinion you wont convince me otherwise on this.

There have also been literally millions of AMM failures with the original paper air filter, who is to say those failures with oiled air filters were not a coincidence? Anyway, yes Pipercross’s old oiled filters did do that, I had two fail within days with their old system and I no longer sell their products. Induction kits of all makes also seem to be a problem but K&N panel filters are fine. I have never had an AMM fail on a customer’s car with a K&N panel filter but I change about two AMM’s a week on cars with paper air filters.
