    I have a 97R A4 1.8 and everything works fine, except when I put the lights on the heater nobs don't light up. The air recirculation button below them lights up so I was wondering if this is a bulb problem rather than a fuse problem and if it is a bulb problem should I take it to the garage or is it a simple job to replace? Any advice is greatly appreciated. Cheers.

    Could be a dodgy connection. It could be that they are the tiny LED type illumination and is an electrical job to change them.

    Have you tried a 'technical tap' to see it it works? The knobs on the Gf's Z3 stopped illuminating, quick tap and they've worked since.

    If the 97 is a B5 platform, this may work;

    Climate control bulb replacement

    or

    Vent bulb Replacement

    If it's not the B5 platform, it may help a bit

    Considering selling my VCDS KEY-USB interface. If you're interested please contact me via PM or email.

    Cheers mate. I don't know which will be the right one but I sure hope it's the first link as the second one sounds a bit more involved and the pics don't show.
