    hi
    i have a golf mk3 cab 2ltr auto 1996
    the problem is it wont turn over i have put jump leads to it still no joy i pluged my snap on scanner to dia port and it says no communication so no im goosed as i cant bump it can one help thanks

    What do you mean,when you say,wont turn over?do you mean it wont start,or do you mean the engine will not rotate when you try and start it.

    it wont turn over whots so ever .u turn the key and theres nowt there i have the uasal lights on dash ect so i no there power there .it puzzleing me as it started last week and i did a dio test with snap on and now it wont communicate so im stuck. also i cant here fuel pump and is fuse 30 main power fuse for the dianostic port and ecu

    Have a look at the black on red wire on the starter solenoid,see if it is in place.Is the battery ok?Try starting in N or P

    battery ok .starter leads ok took off cleaned them .and tryed in p/n
    and just noticed my power roof switch wont work theres no power going to it so somthnk telling me its a relay but wich one is the main power

    The starter inhibitor and reversing light relay and the sliding sunroof switch,have one common thing and that is the ignition switch.Do the reversing lights work?

    yes the reverse lights work
    its wierd this iv no power to soft top switch .no power to obd and cant here fuel pump.and engine wont spin

    You can try and bridge the red wire and the black wire on the ignition switch.
