    Thats what I thought, but the CVT does have a DMF, as I have just had mine replaced at vast cost. I also have a vibration around 1800rpm which is felt through the car, not the accelerator pedal. I think the new DMF is out of balance, now trying to persuade my dealer that there is a problem.

    i have 2005 a4 avant 140 tdi s line - mine does the same i think between 40 - 60 (with very noticable change of 'feel' at 55-60mph) accelerating and decelerating. Just feels different through my foot - does not matter which gear either. Just doesn't feel smooth.
