i am collecting my '01 A6 1.9tdi on sunday, im wondering if it will be possible to run it with a little veg oil ie 10%

i have been running my last 2 cars on filtered waste veg oil but im getting fed up filtering so much of the stuff so im going back to an economical diesel

im just assuming there wont be any harm using a little filtered waste veg oil will there, i have no intention of using a high mix of wvo

I suppose you could do it if you have the 1.9 TDI 110 not the 130 but I still wouldn't recommend it at all. Too many potential fuel supply problems for my liking.

The engine code will begin with A and is three letters long. Can be found on the ID label in the spare wheel well or in the front of the service book, or on the timing belt cover.

The AFN is the last 4-cyl TDI engine which Audi say can run on biodiesel. Note thats proper biodiesel, NOT waste veg oil.

A mate of mine has a golf 4 gt tdi 1999. He's been using up to 30% mix with derv direct into tank during summer months. If using in winter you will need to heat it up. For info on what this may require google elsbett it's a german company specialising in veg oil conversions. Would not recommend using used oil unless really well filtered and any water residue removed by boiling first.

as long as you don't mind changing a few filters, the pump etc. then you will be fine !

High pressure diesels and veg oil don't mix.

stick to regular fuel or genuine biofuel
