    Hi All

    I have recently purchased a 2002 A4 (52 plate) 1.9TDi but I'm not sure what BHP the engine is. How do I find out what the BHP is? I have looked in the engine bay, in the log book etc, but no joy.

    Any engine codes in the log book? Three letters usually starting with A. Take a look under your boot floor as there's usually a sticker on it with codes.

    Last resort scan the front of the engine block and there should be three letters and four numbers.

    ATD = 100bhp PD100
    ASZ = 130bhp PD130

    Hi Jason

    Thanks for your reply. Can't check the car at the moment but just had another look on the log book and, listed alongside the 'Engine Number' section was the following three letters AWX followed by six numbers. Would that be it?

    My 130bhp will be pushing for 300bhp in the next month or so. (little more than just a remap)
