hi all, i have a problem with my golf mk3 1.6 cl. the main wires in the engine all melted, i sat and soldered them all back and matching, took me 4 hours. now the car doesnt seem to be firing on all 4 cylinders, changed the dizzy cap and rotor arm and the spark plugs. cleaned the carb too. it just opends the carb for air and makes a loud "durrrrr" (sucking in air).

been told the ECU could be fried, any other places/points i could check?

cheers guys, need help asap other wise im breaking.

ohhh and it has 157,000 on the clock

Could be a fried sensor, ECU or wiring fault. Get a fault code read done or scrap it.

“Too many errors to continue” can be down to your baud rate settings on VAG-COM. I guess the cable is a cheap fleaBay item and serial port for the shareware version 409.
