ive got a 1995 tdi 110, when i first got the car it would constantly go into limp mode, i took a look at the engine and found that one of the intercooler pipes was split, so after a easy fix all was fine, but now when you accelerate hard and get to about 40+ its will hold back for 3 secs and then keep doing it every 5mph+ and also when you accelerate up hills some time it will go straight into limp mode!!!!

ive had a look around and cant find anything!

the car was serviced last july and has had a new MAFM!

also is there anyone in the plymouth area that has VAG.com? or know of any garages?

    thanks!

Dont want to be the doom monger but I had the same symptoms on my A4 and it turned out to be the turbo fins were sticking due to a knackered bearing, luckily I got a new turbo under the warrenty but it would of cost around £800.As the bearing is a mechanical fault and not an electrical one it may not show up on the vagcom.
