    Hi

Just had my passat 2 weeks and it's been scraped in a car park, considering i didn't see it happen I now need it repairing , I dont really wanna go to the insurance , as my last car got stolen and that goes against me as a claim , so this would make 2 in a few months

I went to the VW dealer and I couldn't get a price as service desk was closed... so I have attached some pics to see if someone here could give some advice etc... Can this damage be knocked out etc and re-spray or is the best policy something else.

Im in the manchester area so if you know of any good VW repariers then let me know... I dont or more to the point CANT break the bank to get this done... but also dont want a cowboy job, again advice needed.

I appreciate photos cant be used to give an estimate but a ball park idea (is poss) would be good so i dont have a haert attcack when i do get a quote,

Any body shop will fix that for you. Work on the basis of £150 per panel for painting and £100 for the dent removal. That will give you a rough guide. Get several quotes.

Ok i got a quote from a friend of a friend who said £120 , for it all he said he would knock out the dent and then fill in what remained and paint the two doors.

Thats a good price just worried it maybe an cowboy job

Hence was thinking would VW do the same thing or put a new skin on the door (not that i know wot im on about)

That price really is a mate's rate! Is it Reflex Silver? If so, make sure the colour match is perfect, it has to be one of the easiest metallic colours to match.

Yeah I would. I bought the paint for the spoiler for my Audi from Audi. All you need is your paint code which can be found in the front of the service book or on the ID label in the spare wheel well.

It should be a 4 letter code, something like LY5X which I think is mine.

The dealer will supply you with the paint and lacquer as a set.
