Well, I've never believed in global warming as the media would have us. I studied Biological Science at uni. Its the study of how to study science, rather than just studying it. It teaches a person how to really investigate something.

None of my lecturers, and I do mean none, believed in global warming. In fact, no proper scientist I have ever discussed it with believes in global warming (as being caused by humans/CO2).

The only people who do believe in it are those who have never actually looked into it properly i.e. the media, crazed environmentalists, and sadly the general public.

That program was a very bright light at the end of the tunnel. My housemate who believes devoutly that we are causing global warming kept making jokes about the scientists appearance, and couldn't watch it through to the end. Sadly, I expect that was the reaction of most people who saw it.

While the data presented was done so in the same, matter of fact way that those who believe we cause global warming present their data, it did provide a fair balance to the arguement.

For many years now I have been the focus of a lot of negative attention from people who I try to explain global warming to. With luck, they will prove themselves sentient humans and be able to have a reasoned discussion, rather than attacking me with comments like, "You're just saying that to be controvertial!".

If anyone can't believe the evidence in the show, presented by scientists with global recognition of their qualifications, they are just being rediculous.

I thought it was a superb piece of TV, one that I have been waiting for many years for. I just hope people can overcome their histeria, look at the facts, and be prepared to admit that they were wrong to believe that humans and our CO2 emmisions are causing climate change.

I intended to watch it but missed it. It is nice to see the other side of the argument. I do feel that the government just uses it as an excuse for a stealth tax.

Huweth, your house mate's point of view just shows that you cannot expect a person to change their mind once it is made up.

i agree with you there MalcQV, green tax, higher road tax for powerfull cars, and what ever else that can try and link to global warming to try and either tax us more or put the price up.

i didnt even know the program was on but i really wish i had seen it, so what was the outcome, the conclution of the program ??

The thing they pointed out is that climate change has been happening for centuries, even 1000s of years. In the early 70s scientists were scared we were entering into another ice age due to a cooling trend that was occuring then. One thing they did point out is that CO2 is linked to climate change but the cause and effect are the reverse. IE, The natural warming of the climate increases CO2 in the atmosphere.

Their credentials were rock solid. They stood only to lose from standing up and saying this, they had been severely snubbed by their own scientific community for their views.

They did state one very plausable theory that one cause of climate change is the large organge firey hot thingy in the sky. That seems sensible to even the most unscientific person, one would assume
