I run a bit but have been struggling to get properly into it again after Edinburgh Marathon at end of May. Took up running last October with view to completing Edinburgh and managed to finish in 4hr 44, raise £1500 for Edinburgh Sick Kids Hospital and lost 4 and a half stone in process.

Now put 2 and a half back on and really struggling for time and motivation

oh...the good thing is if you get onto it now it should come off pretty easily due to it being on that long.

I went for a run yesterday, first time in 2 1/2 weeks...it was hard but the feeling at the end always makes it worth while.

I also swim once a week now which gives my knees a break, i do about 55 to 70 lengths (25m pool) in 35 mins

I managed to finish my first Lochness marathon in October in 3 hours 47 mins 57 seconds, absolutley delighted with time considering the lack of training. Also completed Aviemore Half two weeks later, has to be the most scenic run in Britain just fantastic.
Just found out i have been selected to run London in April so chuffed to bits. New sponser next year so we will all be running with Virgin in large letters on our chests , Nice!!
