Lovely car Col. I agree with the black cars look stunning statement too. Mine is metallic black, and I was just saying to the missus today that I'd prefer to have got a solid black one.

And then I found some dirty stinking feral cat had sharpened his claws on my bonnet, either last night or this morning - since I replaced pulleys and washed it yesty. I am raging.

Clean car you have there Col.
About the PDC, in an A4 you only get the button if fronts are fitted.

Normally I fill up get massive range in the first hundred miles or so, then get bored and hoon it as normal getting an average of 550 per tank.

This time I've done 277 with 570 indicated as left.

The target is to get over 700 before actually filling up this time.

Also this isn't as good as my previous record range but for good reason, this tank full is un-vented, that being approx 7 litres less fuel.

Hey Col, I can beat that mileage...lol
Topped of my A6 2.0 Tdi and left Glasgow arriving at Derby, stayed overnight then left for South Wales really early, Travelled around there all day, back to Derby and then home to Glasgow. I achieved 685 or so miles bewfore filling up the comp telling me I had around 30 still to go.....but hey I got nervous!
95% of the driving was motorway at 80mph on cruise control with a few town stop starts thrown in.

When I filled her up to the top again the comp told me " using the same driving style - of course - I could expect exactly 900 miles from my tank

Only problem is I've had it remapped to 176 bhp and can't drive that way all the time....usually I have a really heavy right foot

    Did it.

Over 700 miles. This one has come out at 747miles.

What a boring 707 miles though, don't think I ever went over 2000 revs. Not bad as a quarter of that was in London traffic as well.

Col, I could do with you teaching my wife to drive fuel efficiently. Mine gets to nearly 600 tops.

It's no use me teaching her, because everytime I get in the car it is time for the exhaust to be cleared of soot. Hence hitting the red line a few times.

I dread to think what I have done to the turbo over those 707 miles, probably clogged to death with soot now.

Just fix it with a run where you only get 500 miles to a tank.

Funny you should mention Wives, mine has just driven us all back from asda. She drives and revs it like her petrol 1.6 focus which means quite high speed indeed.

I sat there and said nothing though knowing the goodness being done to the turbot !
