A6 Driver Information System

Past couple of weeks, the DIS has failed to start up in the mornings, only coming on after about 15 minutes, dullish at first, and intermittent, then eventually back to full functioning.

Take it to the local dealer (still under warranty) and he can find no fault code, so can do nothing. He says a digital picture would help. Does he need a picture of a blank display? Sounds a bit like he doesn't believe me.

Anyway, any others having this problem?

This happened to me the other morning. After restarting an hour later it came back on. It was an exceptionally cold day so maybe that had something to do with it.

Thanks. I took some digital photos the other morning and emailed them to the dealer. Not sure what he will deduce other than it is a blank display. I also spoke to Audi UK and am awaiting their reponse. It has happened pretty much every morning for about a month or so now. Not a massive problem, but slightly annoying, and not what I want in a rather expensive car.

Unfortunately some main dealers will shy away if a fault code is not thrown up. I will keep an eye on mine as it is nearly out of warranty.
