    Does anyone have a diagram on how to replace the parking brake handle and cable on a 1989 vw cabriolet?

    undo the nuts on the cables
    lever will come out when you release clip to the n/s on the pivot slide out pivot pin and pull lever out forwards
    to renew the cables you need to remove rear drums and unhook cables from rear shoes the cable is fastened to the rear axle by bending tags away and release the cable from the guide tubes under car by twisting out
