Hi guys. I have a B7 2.0T saloon and I am planning to retrofit a RS4 Multifuction steering wheel. I currently have the normal 3 spoke s-line wheel. My question is I found on ebay a very nice looking D type RS4 MFSW, but wont extra parts be needed ??? Anything like control unit, new rings etc ????

    thanks

There is little point, you wont get the buttons working on an RS4 wheel in a non-RS4 car.

You'd be better fitting a TT wheel (if its the flat bottomed bit you like?)

There are loads of thread about this. If you already have a MFSW then you need nothing. Otherwise you may or may not need a steering ECU. If you have cruise you probably wont need it if you dont have cruise then you probably will.

Only way to be sure is to find out the steering ECU part number from the car.

    Hi there,

You would also need a new slip ring if you do not currently have a multi-function steering wheel as the standard one does not have the connections for the buttons.

    Cheers

That depends on the age of the car.

No it doesnt. The genuine RS4 flat bottom wheel has buttons on it that control the trip computer. On a normal A4 these buttons are on the end of the wiper stalk. It also has the sport button that is useless on a non-RS4.

There are no stereo control buttons on the RS4 wheel.
