am looking at spending around 10k or so on an S-line DSG 2.0 Tdi (140)

but am wondering whether i should just go for a lower mileage SE or sport version with hopefully some extra's

is the S-line worth paying the extra cash?

does 25k miles on the clock make a big deal on how often things are going to go wrong (servicing costs etc etc)

have always been very very mileage concious when ive been buying a 2nd hand car, maybe you dont need to be so much with Diesels?
    cheers

    Duncan

one of the benefits of purchasing/leasing from audi agent, a pre-owned/end-of-lease audi, when condition of car has been certified by audi uk, is an extended warranty w/proviso to further extend yr-by-yr

I personally would avoid newly intro'd pre-owned models as the production centre(s) require 15months to implement owner/user based feedback revisions through the supplier chain

whether brand new model or refreshed existing model...

the lower mileage draws my attention, but higher mileage model gives you leverage re: extended / extendable comprehensive / inclusive (owner paid) warranty from audi uk

audi's / vw's / and other euro models are ALL technically advanced - totally dependent on on-board canbus electronics systems and very expensive to repair "out-of-your-own-pocket"... cumulative mileage is only one aspect...

    ok great,

so really the most important thing i do is try and get the car through an audi dealership rather than an independant dealer

Do you think its worth paying extra for S-line or not?

s-line packages were introduced to add (tasteful) bling and to personalize the audi model range and make the ownership and driver experience more satisfying

s-line is a step removed from visiting quattro ag and letting the staff/personal consultant discuss individual preferences, needs and sense of taste, over lunch and usually dinner...

yes, I would select s-line models for myself and than replace oem tires (already v. good) with more aggressive rubber...
