sorry to be blunt, but you did welcome replies.... but i think you're turning it into a chavmobile, an induction kit on a tdi, why? unless its cold feed, in which case, understandable.

as for the back box, apart from making a great deal of noise, id say its guna do bugger all for the car.

id of saved my money TBH and put it towards a remap

lol i dont know where you're getting your info from but poppycock quite honestly LOL

take mine for example.... 115 gt tdi pd engine - i can move this to 155/160 without too many worries about the clutch or flywheel, anything above 45/50 bhp gain and, yes you would have to upgrade your clutch and flywheel, but not before then.

in regards to the extra cost.... these cars are not necessarily a cheap car to run, maintenance has to be done on time all the time, with the correct components, which can prove to be quite expensive, i fear that the induction kit you have fitted is one of those chav-tastic 'bop boxes' ie cone filter, if so, you could well cause more problems than you solve IMO, cone filters really shouldnt be fitted to these diesels, panel filters are much better as they allow the engine to breath a little better, but you have to watch just how well oiled the panel is.... otherwise you start introducing oils/lubricants into the air system.... which is obviously not good

i didnt realise janspeed back boxes were long life?

also, you do realise you will have to inform your insurance of the modifications and they may want to asess the vehicle or have it asessed by the garage which fits the items.....just warning you in case you didnt already know

LOL end of the day its your car, your preference, your choice.... you dont have to listen to a word anybody says matey, you personalise your car how you see fit but mechanically, induction kits are bad news on these diesels. panel filters = much better.

if you have a few spare hours mate i would look back through some older threds and see what other ppl have done or asked about getting more power out from their diesel golf, you'll pick up some good tips and what to stay well clear from (like these cheap tuning boxes from ebay and alike) i have spent hours reading through odd threds and have learned a great deal.

    good luck mate !!
