I have posted a few questions here as i only bought my car last monday and have a few problems.
i believe i have a multichanger somewhere but not sure where. the handbook says it is in the luggage space but i cant locate it. i fully understand some passats dont have one but i was assured mine has (stupidly i didnt ask the garage to show me). The stereo in the car says so too as multichanger is written on it!
in the boot there is a first aid cubby hole but where will the multichanger be in relation to that???

    thank you

Usually it is in there on a plastic framed shelf or in the glovebox, sometimes in the centre armrest hole.

How old is the car?? my 2001 tdi sport had the multichanger in the l/h side of the boot and if memory serves me it was under the first aid kit.

My 2003 tdi sport has the multichanger directly under the stereo head unit which is a much better position.

You probably don't have a changer then. I was bought one advertised with a changer and then found out it didn't have one. The in dash ones are about £100 and much more convenient, I'll be getting one once I get my car running properly again!

If it is a multi cd unit there should be 6 buttons on the front of the cd unit with a load and eject button either side.

It does sound as if you have a single cd unit installed.

If you have the original advert with 6 CD changer advertised, you should ask them for it. The front of the changer would have buttons 1-6 on it, and a load and eject button. Sounds like you have the same unit as me. I'm going to get a new one off fleabay this week Best of luck.

As leespot said there are two units, the main head unit which is the radio with the pre select buttons etc and then directly under that unit will be the cd changer/unit which if it is the 6 cd multi-changer unit will have 6 buttons for selecting each different cd for loading/ejecting, then under that will be the climatronic control panel.

If the car was advertised as having the multi-cd changer fitted then somebody is in breach of the advertising regulations which then leaves them wide open for a legal action against them.
