Hi . I have a 2002 VW Sharan . Rear washer not working and from looking at the forum have now also discovered a wet passenger Carpet . So looks like I have an issue with the rear washer pipe under the front passanger footwell. My question is how do I get to it . How do I lift the carpet to find where the pipe has split / come apart?
    Thanks

there is a join in the pipe under the front nearside kick panel, under the dash,up against the a pillar, remove this panel and look inside the wiring loom the rear w/wipe pipe is located in this area, when you have found it cut about 5mm off the end of the pipe & rejoin together, if you don't cut the stretched bit of pipe off and just rejoin it will come off again, just to be sure i fastened a small zip tie round each side of the join. hope this sorts it out

might not be, sharans have a problem, if the pollen filter under the windscreen is not fitted correctly water can enter the car at that point, also if the drain holes in the rear corners under the windscreen are blocked water can get into car. to clean them out lift bonnet, get a old wire coat hanger or a length of stiff wire straighten it out & poke it down the holes, when i dried my carpet out i lifted the carpet and cut the underfelt straight across the passenger footwell at 90 degrees to the cill towards the ''transmission tunnel'' with a stanley knife (DO CHECK FOR WIRES OR PIPES UNDER FELT BEFORE CUTTING) then placed a dust sheet under carpet to keep the floor level, then dried the underfelt out in the house (on kitchen radiator took 3 days!!) keep the drain holes clear and you hopefully won't have anymore wet carpets
