  1. Maximum wheel/tyre size on A4?

    Hello,

Just got a 1998 A4 Avant which needs new tyres. I am lcomparing new tyre prices and also the cost of used wheels with decent tyres on but don't know what size to limit my search to. What is the largest size wheel and tyre combo anyone has fitted to an A4 Avant obviously has to be without any rubbing? It is currently on 15 inch wheels.

I had read that thread regarding tyre sizes but wasn't sure about wheel sizes and what would/would not rub! Good to hear that 18's will fit without rubbing but the ride feels very firm already so will probably narrow my search to 17's. Thanks for the help!

    Just found these on eBay:

I can't find a PCD guide but remember reading that after a certain date the A3 is a 5 X 112 fitment, can anyone confirm? I hope the 1998 A4 Avant has a 5 X 112 fitment as that's what I've been looking for all day!
