Can anyone with the Mobile Telephone Preparation PREMIUM factory fitted in their new shape Passat (B6) let me know which side of the hazard lights switch the pop up keypad is mounted. I had a VW Passat demonstrator provided by VW themselves prior to ordering my vehicle and the keypad was mounted on the right hand side, closest to the driver. My vehicle was delivered in January and the keypad is mounted to the left of the hazard switch as if for a left hand drive vehicle and is further to reach. All VW brochures have photos of left hand drive vehicles and show the keypad on the left hand side and the VW dealer has never seen another Passat with this option fitted so cannot accept my complaint that the wrong keypad has been fitted. Any replies appreciated.

    Hi,
I just got a new passat recently with the premium bluetooth prep. In my car the keypad is also to the left of the steering wheel.

Thanks for the reply, maybe VW have decided UK drivers have longer arms and no longer need it on the right hand side of the hazard lights button!
