hi guys and gals, im new to the audi side of things having been a strong rover 75 fan for a while. However, on saturday i pick up a 1997 audi a4 2.6 v6 se. A couple of things are confusing me abit and wonder if you could shed any light on the subject.

    1. remote central locking.... The car currently has 2 keys but no remote central locking fob, do all a4's of this year have no remote central locking or is it missing and if so where can i get a new fob and get it programmed to the car. it just seems odd to me that most cars from 96 onwards had a remote fob of some description.

    2. timing belt changes..... does this car have a belt or a chain. ive heard that this is a sohc 12v v6 and has a chain (fingers crossed) but if it has a belt how much can i expect to pay for a change?

Hopefully some of you guys have the answers im looking for so i can put my mind at rest. Many thanks and best wishes, simon.
