    Does anyone know if the gamma radio in the picture (i think its from a mk4) will fit in a MK3?

    It'll probably fit in the gap, whether it will work or not is a different question. In the mk4 they communicate with the ecu for security info so that you don't have to put the code in each time you fire it up. Don't know how it will work out of a mk4.

    Hi... Radio/CD in-dash media devices are a standard size... they have to conform to an ISO standard. So, yes it will physically fit..... but as stated earlier will need configuring by Code to work properly.

    I have a Gamma radio/cassette in my mk3 golf, it fitted no problem but there is a connector on the Gamma marked 'safe' and theres no connection for it on my mk3 wiring loom and the radio was dead until I made up a connection for it to give it 12v and everything is fine.
    Thats not to say all looms are the same..... be careful !
