A few weeks ago my mk 5 golf blew the intercooler pipe of...near side, a complete pipe assembly has since been fitted which has cured that problem but since then the turbo makes a really high pitched noise when under acceleration and has gone into limp (get you home mode) almost every time i have driven the car and generally on long slopes. Several independant garages dont seem to know the problem as the car is out of warranty. One chap ive spoke to seems to think there is a small pipe on the exhaust system which may be full of carbon and simply blocked...if anbyone could enlighten me on whats wrong then it would be very much appreciated.

    Many Thanks

    Tom
