    Hi
Has anyone any ideas car has just died on me.
Engine has just cutout warning on the dash was oil problem
when looked at the dip stick it is all white water is getting into the oil
somehow. Lost some water NO OVER HEATHIG.
Removed the plugs they all look ok may be it could be the head gasket between the oil and water flow and return.
My question is can the water and oil mix within the turbo is there a seal or is the turbo unit all cast making it impossable for the two to mix.

could be the oil cooler. these have a habit of breaking and letting water into the oil. they can be pressure tested to confirm the fault, you would need to remove it and take it to someone that can test heads, or if you are that way inclined, use a hose to pressurise it and see if water comes out the oil ports. not sure why it would cause the engine to cut out though, but im sure someone will.

Hi I would say it was the head gasket,Usually when the cooler leaks it has the oppisite effect i.e oil enters the cooling system.Does the engine still turn over, when you try to start it?

I have to agree it sounds like head gasket.
