flip key fob

hi all, i have 1997 mk3 golf and i love it im tryin to bring it up 2 date with the world lol was wondering if u can get a flip key fob and were to get them. i dont think it should be to hard to get it done if can find a blank flip key fob just like getting a normal door key cut.

Won't a 1997 Golf key have a transponder in it?
Take your key to a locksmith who does auto keys and see what they think they can do for you.

taken my key apart and all it is, is the key blade ane the wires for the crappy little light on the fob lol but thanks i will take it to a auto locksmith

There is a guy on ebay.com who is in the USA but is really quick at sending out keys and I have bought 1969 beetle keys, VW retro skeleton keys for a Mk4 and a few other things and I'm sure that he does flip keys based on the MK4 fob. Search for a VW Mk3 key and you'll find him - called MK1 VW keys I think.
