A6 Avant 2.5 TDI radio problem

Audi Concert fitted. Wife had car for the week young relative left in the car without the key but fiddled. Now the Concert unit will not switch on at all. Main fuse is good, small radio mounted fuse is good, power is 12v at the back plug. Manual says "If you switch off the radio off manually, it will not switch itself back on again when you switch on the ignition" Does anyone have any info on this ?? I'm an ex aircraft techie so I know my way around diagnostics but this one is odd, unless the unit has just blown up

Did you had any change left in the car ? I had aa stereo blown once because a todler put some change in ! The stereo should turn on if you put the key in the ignition and/or push the button to turn on ! If you know the radio code, disconect the fuse and reconect after a few minutes. It might reset it ...

yeah my kids did the same 13 p left in the car gave me all kinds of trouble
