I have recently bought a new A4 B8 without the sat nav and have now realised that there is nowhere for my Tom Tom to sit securely without using a suction cup.

Is it possible to upgrade to the sat nav without spending lots of money? I already have the Infotainment so it surely can't be that difficult.

If it makes any difference I also have the following:

    -B&O
    -iPod dock
    -phone prep

Take a look at the Brodit Proclips from www.dsldevelopments.com

I've used them in a number of cars and have a centre mounting waiting for my new A4 Avant (waiting, waiting...............). They're a damn sight cheaper than trying to retrofit anything.

I believe retrofitting MMI High to a car with MMI low is virtually impossible (well from a financial point of view) as the MMI high cars use MOST (Optical network) to connect all the Audi components together

Although the screens look similar they use a very different operating system. The Low cars use a radio which is similar to the old RNS-E sat nav as in the B7 A4 (hence the dash mounted controls) whilst the high cars uses almost identical components to the A6

Kufatec say they can supply a kit but dont put a price on it!

If you had an A6 it would be a different story as they use the MOST network and you simply slot the Nav bits into the media bay in the boot , do a bit of coding and hey presto!
