R reg 1.9 tdi transporter - value?

Hi; this machine has died as far as I'm concerned - crankshaft gone. Now I've stopped crying I'd like to get rid of it & someone with more time and (presumably!) knowledge than me wants to buy it. Wisebuyers don't do values for vans without engines! Any suggestions as to what its worth? (or even anyone interested in buying it?) Otherwise its a pretty neat van for age, no rust to speak of though plenty of tiny chips in the paintwork.

in good condition and with 12 months mot, you could expect to get about a grand for one i suppose, maybe a bit more. by crank gone, i think we can safely say it needs a new engine, so figure about £400 for a second hand engine, plus some labour to fit it, plus oil ,filters etc.. so about £ 700-900, if a garage does the job. so realistically, if you get £ 200 for it, i think youve done well.hope this helps.
