    Hi All
    I'm thinking of buying either a Bora or a Passat, and I find the original sales brochures very useful for determining what equipment each model had and therefore which model I want to buy!
    I got a bora on from ebay but I'm having a hard time finding a passat one.
    Anyone got one they can either give me, sell to me or even scan and e-mail?
    Thanks
    Andy

    p.s. I'm only interested in the 2001 facelifted model, and as close to the beginning of the series as possible, because it's likely that my budget will limit me to a 2001 only.

    If you try the parkers website it has a section which tells you what options were standard / optional for each model year, very useful.

    Thanks, yes, already did that. It's good but not as comprehensive as the brochure.

    Ah but have you tried "equipment and options" under the next steps section, such as this for the Passat estate;

    http://www.parkers.co.uk/cars/specs/...px?deriv=20404

    oodles of data there...

    ooh, no, hadn't seen that.
    I'll check it out, see if it's available for the saloon.

    The thing I'm mainly interested in is heated front seats
    On the Bora they were an optional extra as part of the 'winter pack' or standard if you had leather upholstery. From what Parkers say on their model history, they are standard on the Passat V5 but there is no other mention.

    edit: I can't find that page for the Saloon. How did you get to it?

    Go to this page;
    http://www.parkers.co.uk/cars/specs/

    then this page;
    http://www.parkers.co.uk/cars/specs/...spx?model=1049

    then choose your exact model of car,

    then click on "equipment and options" under the orange "next steps" bit.

    My wife seems obsessed with heated seats too, on the Passat them seem to have been standard on the V5, V6 TDI, and the 2.8 V6 4motion. otherwise you'll have to find one with the winter pack, or with leather or alcantara which used to have heated seats thrown in.
