I have a 2003 Passat SE TDI 130 4motion and noticed today that the windscreen jets were frozen for my entire 20 minute drive, even though i though it was supposed to have heated windscreen jets? When i arrived at my destination i checked them and they were cold to the touch, should they get warm enough to feel if they are working? Should i see water vapor coming from them like on the heated mirrors? Thanks for any advice!

I think, but I could be wrong, that they only come on when the rear demister is on.

I'm investigating retro-fitting these to my Passat as I don't have them

Considering selling my VCDS KEY-USB interface. If you're interested please contact me via PM or email.

I am looking to retro-fit too.
From the wiring diagram they are powered all the time the ignition is on.
They have their own fuse, S1 on the main panel, so maybe that's blown.

I Believe that according to the manual they come on outomatically below a certain temperture.

My Passat is also supposted to have them but the washer jets still take some time to defost specially if your travelling at speed and the air temp is low.

Didnt now they were fed off there own fuse so will check this on mine now as well.
