ok..... still trying to get to the bottom of my problem...

down slightly on power and economy

    no urgency when accelarating

i have a whistle, drone coming through the exhaust from 1200 rpm

this gets louder as the revs get higher

I've replaced the vacumn pipes (i did find a small hole on the solid pipe under the air box)

i've just took it for a run on the bypass and was getting 60-70 mph @ 3500 revs

does this sound about right for a 1.9 tdi 130 ?

the whistle is the problem before it came my motor was spot on.

    any ideas ?

    thanks in advance

Hi the whistle (drone) suggests a turbo pressure leak

could it possibly be coming from this pipe at the back of the egr valve in the pic ? it has a bit of play in it around the point where the clip holds it in place approx 4-5 mm
