    Hello...

I want to get a nice sound, and deep bass from my golf gt tdi 02 plate, it fitted with the Pioneer premier 9800bt stereo.

Should i get a VIBE active sub 10/12 inches to put in the boot for some bass on low volume

or get a nice set of speakers to upgrade the sound all round?

Also i was wondering do i need to replace the rear boot shelf to an mdf shelf if i want to mount 6x9 and an amp? or should i leave the old shelf on which kind of seams as thought its plastic? or is it a thin piece of wood?

    Holler back.... thanks

    Thanks for the reply...

where did you get your sub and amp from?

Im thinking of getting an Active sub, maybe a 10 or 12inch VIBE... your thoughts?

i want something i can take off easily if i need to and something which wont use too much space.

My advice, if your after good sound, is not to bother with mounting anything on your back shelf, and avoid 6x9's.

Go for component speakers (that will replace your front door speakers) and tweeters. These usually come as a package. Get the correct amp to run these, you'll only need something small.

Eventually then go for a decent sub in the boot.

6x9's are ****, this is from experience.
