    Evening All,

Well, what an eventful Friday lunch time I had.
Popped round to the local Shell garage to get a couple of bottles of juice before popping back to work.

Went to reverse into a free space and totally misjudged the kerb on my left hand side and hit it pretty hard.

Now that would be bad enough if the kerb didn't happen to be about a 12 inches high!!

As you can see she dosn't look so pretty now, and definately doesn't handle very good. Well, that's a bit of an understatement I got about 200 yards before I pulled over and called Audi Assistance.

Quoted roughly £1400 - 1600 to fix as it's bent but they don't know how much is bent!!

Oh well, thank god for protected no claims!!

Ho hum, at least I should get my MOT done sooner

    Paul

Yeah, the bizarre thing was I wasn't going all that fast!!
I know, that's what everyone says, but I had only travelled about one and a half car lengths before I hit the kerb and I did reverse a bit sportily but nowhere near as fast as it looks like I did!!

I think because it has just cliped the wheel and no more it has put all of the energy through a small point causing more damage!

Down to the garage at lunch time to sort out some stuff so will see if they have washed it and get some more piccies!

    Evening all!

Sorry to drag up my old post, but I've just had a quick check of my tyres and the rear left (Which this post relates to!) is worn down to/past 1.6mm on the outside tread wear indicator but the other two (Middle and Inner) are above 1.6mm.

Now, there was quite a bit of replacement done on the insurance to fix this mess last year including a new wheel and tyre so I know that the uneven wear has happened since then.

My question is: What are the chances of Audi claiming responsibility for this?
As the wheel has received no further damage, which can be seen by the fact that the alloy is spotless!

I'm going to book it in this week for them to have a look and see what they say, but I have a horrible feeling they are going to try and worm their way out of this by saying that they can't be held responsible for it.

    Any comments/ideas?

    Cheers
