    Hello.

    I keep getting this fault code after about 100miles :

    17544 : Fuel Trim: (Add): System too lean.

    I know this is to do with the engine idle. I've searched the forum and seen about the possibility of those dodgy braided vac hose's. I've also checked the crankcase ventaltion pipe, but couldn't see a problem with that.

    I've posted the pic below. I've changed some of the vac lines. The green lines are the vac pipes changed and the red line is a braided hose yet to be done.



    Dont know if the pic can be seen above, but its the hose that runs from under the inlet manifold, across the front of the engine towards the airbox, and down the side to the bottom. Anybody know an easy way of getting to it? And will it help cure the above code.

    Many thanks in advance!

    (Engine is 1.8T AWT.)

    Hi

    If you're hosting it ok on photobucket, just copy and paste the 'Image address' directly into your post. I think it is the bottom one of their 4 options - starts and ends (IMG)
