    Default Parking Brake Fault – 10-01-2009,04:10 PM
    Warning light flashed on yesterday. Dealer coud not diagnose exact fault even though their 'Master Technician' examined it. Left car with them in disgust to 'spend more time investigating'. The parking brake motor was only replace 3 weeks ago! No courtesy car available this time. Had to get taxi home. This the third warranty issue in 4 weeks!
    2011 Polo 1.4 SE 5dr White.
    2007 Passat 2.0tdi 140 Sport Tornado Red with Cruise Control, 74k and counting.

    Did it only flash for a moment or stay on? Mine does this from time to time both with the parking brake and the AFS headlights. They have never caused a problem though, and so I wouldn't worry. However if it has just started and the warranty is about to run out, it's probably wise to get it checked.

    The light stayed on.
    Car now fixed. Problem diagnosed as a broken wire.
    Collected car this morning. They did not even wash it!
