does this pipe need replacing?

i still have a whistle from my turbo, i've replaced most of the vacumn pipes. i was told by a vw specialist the the pipe at the back of the egr valve has a little play in it and could cause the whistle. i've posted a pic for reference, could he be right? it pulls out about 3mm with the clip inserted. anyone know the part number? thanks

There is a rubber o-ring inside the pipe joint. Might just need to replace this if the pipe is ok.

Even a new one would be nearly that bad but check the retaining bumps.

at what engine speed can the turbo be heard? i can hear a whistle starting at about 1200 revs does that sound right?
