Does anyone know how to enable the sound when locking and unlocking the car? Is this the horn or the alarm chirp???

My current coding under module 46 is 06890. I cant seem to find the coding to add the beep sound confirmation for locking/unlocking car?

    Thanks!
    J

    Coding
    • +00001 = GB-Alarm (not USA)

I've highlighted above the options you have currently selected. You need to add 1024 to make the coding 07914. I also think you may need to make it 07915 to include GB-Alarm. Will have to check my car to see what I have got set.

    Hi

Thanks for the help on checking your car.

Does the 1024 mean once activated the car horn will sound and not the alarm siren chirp?

What does the GB alarm do? I am based in Hong Kong.

    Thanks

Just changed the coding today to 07914 and I have a siren chirp when doors are locked. I noticed the chirp has some delay from locking doors, lights flashing then the single chirp.

Do you know if there is a way to remove the delay and to change the chirp sound as I think I read about it online.

    Thanks

The 1024 means that the alarm will chirp when the car is locked and alarm activated. I haven't heard anything about being able to change the chirp or delay.
I don't honestly know what the GB alarm bit does - it is active on my car however. As you are outside Great Britain then as it wasn't previously selcted then leave it as it is.

The chirp is pretty quiet indeed.

Yes, I'm based in Hong Kong so I guess I will leave the GB alarm alone until more information can be found.

    Thanks for the pointers.
