Headlight washer/adaptive lights

How Can i find out if i have the headlight washer system ? My front bumper appears to have the Jets that pop up but i dont know if these are just blanking plates ? I have followed the cars manual instructions but they still dont seem to work. Should they pop out every time? (My TT is one of the first batch of new shapes bought in 2007 if that helps.)was it an option or standard ?

Are the adaptive lights only available with xenon's or were the early models fitted as standard with halogen lights with adaptive ?

Turn your headlights on and operate the washers for 5 or 6 secs, the washers should pop up.
Adaptive lights are xenons that swivel.
