Mine has grown on me. It's big (sometimes too big!) and comfortable, and those heated seats have been a real bonus in the last couple of weeks. Great for family holidays - i actually lookmforward to those long drives. It's only done 25k miles and I intend to keep it for another 2-3 years.

I've had two major faults (2 new engines needed) and one minor fault (remote boot release switch), all dealt with brilliantly by my local dealer (Listers Evesham).

I like the new Golf, though .................

My wife won't drive mine because of the push key start and the electric hand brake. She likes the car though. It might be worth checking to see if you can live with the electric handbrake.

After 117k miles (and counting) mines ' not bad' great workhorse with loads of room in the back, comfy seats and build standards that mean its not falling to bits, but nothing special. The word 'dull'springs to mind.

Would I have another? well no. see sig!

Umm, seems to have an even bigger backside than the Passat

I'd buy one, but as you might just see, it wouldn't go in the garage, so I've bought another, narrower, two-seater. Should get it soon.

The Passat avatar was shot just after I'd debadged it.

Unlucky about the garage. I know the problem I have way too much money and no space

Been pleased with mine, coming up to 2nd Service just short of 30K. Had almost 18months without problems (touch wood). Only unplanned Dealer visit was for a replacement fuel pump, which was a disaster as they ordered the wrong one - but that is not a reflection on the car.
I'd certainly buy another, unless Audi drop their prices by 50%!!

mines just gone over the 11,000 mile mark and so far its been spot on. Its due its service soon and will need 2 front tyres but as its a lease car it goes to a garage recomened by the lease company, i know its not the dealer as our A3 went in. It had pirellis all round and it came out with firestones on it. God knows what they will replace my bridgestones with.

Just got my 1.9TDI SE estate last week, 105k miles second hand. 105ps. this is after a 230K miles Skoda 4x4 turbo petrol, so the passat doesn't have as much punch as the skoda, but the torque is great! I'm a little disapointed with the economy as it is doing 47mpg on a route that the skoda did 34's. The headlights are really rubbish too. I travel 42 miles to work, of which 25 is on country A roads over the yorkshire moors, in the dark...I have to use highbeam all the time to see...any ideas? Oh & the handbrake is weird, and it has a slight "misfire" when pulling hard... but I do love it!
