    Evening all,
Ive been offered a genuine Audi bodykit for my A4 B5 Avant (Bumper spoilers, skirts & tailgate spoiler) the kit is dirt cheap as it's from a freind who clearing old stock from his part's Dept. so im gonna get it, but would really like to see a picture of an Avant with this GENUINE AUDI kit on before I go & get it all painted, Audi's website or parts electronic catologue no longer show it as it's been deleted, Im in two minds as to wether to just get the tailgate spoiler painted and fitted and EBAY the remainder or go the whole hog?? anyone got any ideas??

I suppose it could look alright if professionally done. However, i would leave as standard as i think that cars with bodykits fitted after manufacture look naff and instantly knock loads of value off your car. Just my opinion. Good luck if you do decide to go ahead.

    Wally,

As long as its an original genuine Audi bodykit, i dont think you will lose any value on your car. These kits are fairly subtle (compared to the likes of Caractere or projectwo) and enhance the lines of the car.

On the other hand its very unlikely to add value to the car, so whatever you spend buying, painting and fitting the kit is money lost. A few years ago i spent over £6k, on bodykit, mods etc, on an A4, kept it for 12 months, and didnt get a penny more for it when it came to time to sell. They just looked at the book value and that was the offer i got for trade in.

    Mike.

I'm all for body kits, they sell your car easier in private sales but you dont get your money back!
