    Hi,

I've replaced the window guide clip thingys on my 1999 A6 Avant drivers side door and it's now working fine. I have the same problem (broken guide/clip) on the passenger side but now i can't find anywhere that sells the guides/clips. I bought the first two off Ebay about 6 months ago and only just got round to fitting them.

I've heard that the dealers will not sell the clips on their own and want you to buy the whole regulator (100+?).

Does anyone know where i could purchase two replacement clips?\

    Cheers

My good fortune continues! The cable snapped a few days after fitting the new clips, so looks like i'll be buying the complete regulator after all. At least i can use my existing replacement clips in the passenger door.

    Ho-Hum.

    Hi,

The dealer should sell you the clips on their own. They are about £1.30 each.

Below is the web page I found on replacing them and also gives you the part number for the clip. Just tell the dealer that is the part you require, they should have no reason to refuse the sale.
