    Hi
I wonder if anyone can help.

I've been looking around for a 2.0 TDI A4 and see that there seems to be two difference engine sizes available?? The
    1986cc and 1968cc

    Audi pre 2006
    Performance: Top Speed (MPH): 128 0-60 (secs): 9.9 Torque (Nm): 320 @ 1750 RPM Torque Imp (lb/ft): 236 @ 1750 RPM Cubic Capacity (cc): 1986 Horse Power (PS): 138

    Audi post 2006
    Performance: Top Speed (MPH): 128 0-60 (secs): 9.8 Torque (Nm): 320 @ 2500 RPM Torque Imp (lb/ft): 236.03 @ 2500 RPM Cubic Capacity (cc): 1968 Horse Power (PS): 138

    Questions...

    1) Are there any noticeable difference in drive between these engines... I guess the car will kick in lower down in the rev's in the pre 2006 models?

    2)
Are these two completely different engines or is it a ecu upgrade?

    3) Should I really try and go for the
1968cc or wont I notice the difference?

    4) Did the change come across because of issues with the pre 2006 engine?

    5) Does anyone know when the
1968cc came into production. I think they started on the 06 reg's but not sure whether they were on the 55's aswell?

I've seen some nice pre 2006 models but not 100% as I feel as though I should save up that little bit extra and for go the post 2006 version?? So I thought to see what you guys thought or whether I was reading into
    torque statistics too much

All the 2.0 TDI engines are 1968cc, I think there is confusion over the 1896cc 1.9 TDI.

There are two versions of the 2.0TDI engine. The firsts ones were fitted with Pump Injectors (PD) like the latest 1.9TDIs and the newer ones are common rail engines.
