Hey there, I'm new to the forum, and I'm a little stuck. I have VW Golf MK5 1.6 FSI and in thinking of fitting CCFL lights to my headlights. I'm not sure how i would do it. Do the headlights clip apart or is there more work required?

    Thankyou for your help

If your thinking of modifying your own headlights then there is more to it, they dont just clip apart!

There is a air tight seal around the unit which i believe needs to be heated and then u can pull the unit apart!

once you have managed that, u will be able to pull the unit apart summin like what im having done with mine...

Where did you get your lights from. I notice that they are xenon. Did they come with the balasts and did you have any problem once they were connected (ie. bulb failure warning).

    Cheers

they are normal aftermarket headlamp units.

    I have also fitted hids.

they came from a VW shop in kings lynn.

somewhere i'll have the address details.

    they cost £150

EDIT the company i used turned out to be a vw specialist, i forget the name now, but they are / were based right at the end of Austin Fields in kings lynn. http://www.streetmap.co.uk/idl.srf?x...p=ids.srf&lm=1

Hi what type of hids you put in them and do they fit straight in because i got told the bulbs might be to long for the fk angel lights, plus im after the blacks ones like yours looked on ebay and not got none. Is there a web site where can buy them from do you know.
    Regards
    Mark
