    I have a genuine VW Group handheld diagnostic tester VAS 1552. Can it be used to programme new keys to a 2000my A4 1.8T quattro if so could anyone give a litttle step by step guidence?

    sorry but you cant code keys with this machine unless you have got the old 4 digit immobilizer code the dealer will only have a 7 digit code that they use

    It is possible to use the 1553 to code keys but as mentioned previously you would need the 4 digit SKC for the immobilizer login, the dealers do not have acsess to either the 4 digit or the encrypted later 7 digit codes as it is all done online via the encrypted GEKO system.
    There are other options available for obtaining the SKC codes but i dont know if this is the place to mention them?
