I have a '04 Cab with the standard fitted radio (I think it is Concert). Recently, when it has been, really cold over night the radio fails to pick up FM staions in the morning, but after the interior has warmed up a bit it starts working. Today it's not working at all, but now on FM and AM stations.

It turns on and the built in CD slot player works. The station "scan" goes through the entire FM range and does not pick up a single station. Likewise on the AM stations.

Is there some tool(s) I can buy to remove the radio to make sure it not something silly like a lose connection?

If I do have to replace it, how much would a replacement Audi radio be?

Can I fit non Audi radio/CD, (the slot seems the wrong size to me)?

If I fit a non Audi Concert radio/CD will the dash info stop working?

    Thanks.

    Thanks both of you.

    Where is this aerial amp?

How can check the aerial wires? Are they in the boot door itself?

It started working again over xmas, but has since died again. I get occasional busts of the station, but mostly static.

Are there any guides, instructions etc on how to remove the boot cover as I cannot see any screws or bolts holding it on?

    Thanks.
