Hope someone can help. I have bought a T5 transporter panel van and the interior lights do not work at all. I have checked all the bulbs and fittings but there is no problem there. No17(on the lower fuse box) fuse is blown and keeps blowing. Is there arelay somwhere which controls the lights or has someone had a similar problem that can shed any light(that would be nice) on the problem. Thanks

helo mate, im not a vw specialist but i am a sparks, so usually if the fuse keeps rupturing, then there is an earth fault (short to earth) with that particular system.
i take it its not blowing the bulb? then the elect. is bypassing the filament going strait to earth, decreasing the resistance and increasing the curren, hence, blowing the fuse.
i also have a T5 and ive got a few lecky probs, have you had much go wrong with it?
    cheers & happy xmas

Thanks. Ye, I have checked for live wires going to earth etc but no problems there. I think there must be a relay or something, I guess I need a wiring diagram.
